I fell in love with Douglas when I saw his picture in an email that his breeder, Christie Murphy of Lyncryst Collies, sent out. He had such a beautiful face! He is one of the few puppies that I have bought from another kennel. Douglas is so full of energy that he wears me out sometimes. He loves the show ring but he’s a bit small for a male and, while he has won a couple of points, he wasn’t having a great deal of success as a show dog. He does sire beautiful puppies however, with his same outgoing personality and pretty face and eye. Jake (Heather Hill And All That Jazz – pictured on the Resources page) is a Douglas son, out of Cleo (Ch. Heather Hill’s Jazz Baby) and Hillary (Heather Hill’s Million Dollar Baby – pictured in the upper right hand corner of the Index page) is also by Douglas out of Lily (Heather Hill I’ll Fly Away). Both of these, plus Jake’s sister, Patsy (Heather Hill’s Honky Tonk Angel) are all potential show prospects.
